Anyone who knows me, knows how much I absolutely love the love story between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele… And yes, I enjoy a good steamy read too! But, this particular love story is exactly why I read romance. I am so excited for E.J. James newest release, Freed. Can’t wait to dive into the world of Fifty Shades again.
Releasing June 1st, 2021
Relive the sensuality, the romance, and the drama of Fifty Shades Freed―the love story that enthralled millions of readers around the world―through the thoughts, reflections, and dreams of Christian Grey.
Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele have tied the knot―but marriage brings its own challenges. Though their passion burns hotter and deeper than ever, Ana’s defiant spirit continues to stir Christian’s darkest fears and tests his need for control. As old rivalries and resentments endanger them both, one misjudgment threatens to tear them apart.
I was so excited last night when Reflected in You by Sylvia Day finally downloaded onto my Kindle app. I have been anticipating this release for sometime now. It’s common knowledge that I wasn’t the biggest fan of Bared to You. I felt the storyline was weak and the character development was lacking, I was disappointed because the story had such potential if only more time had been spent on the development. I knew that I would read Reflected in You with the hopes that Sylvia Day would give us more story and let us get to know who the characters really are. Well I can tell you Sylvia Day has done just that, BIG TIME!!! Within the first few pages of Reflected in You, I could feel the shift in story and the characters. So much happens with the storyline in this novel it kept me on my toes and wanting more, I was borderline obsessed. I couldn’t put Reflected in You down! As for character development, Sylvia Day has come through! I loved getting to know more about Eva and Gideon, having some of my unanswered questions answered. Their characters are definitely stronger than the first novel. I loved that I could feel how consumed by love they are for each other, this was something I could not feel in Bared to You. The only problem I had with this novel is I did feel it a little crude, for lack of better words. I am all for a HOT dirty read but I did feel that sometimes it was a little too much.
For any of you who, like me, felt that there was something missing in Bared to You, I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed by Reflected in You! N. 5
