~NEW REVIEW~Essence of Time (Stewart Realty #4)

Ok so at first I wasn’t so sold on Essence of Time.  Jack and Sara are still around in this fourth installment of the Stewart Realty series but this time the story revolves around Blake, Sara’s brother, and his lover Rob, one of Jack’s oldest friends.  We were introduced to Blake and Rob in Floor Time and they have been strong supporting characters ever since.

Essence of Time is probably one of HOTEST, most intense novels I have ever read!  I am in awe of how Liz Crowe was able to tell so much of Blake and Rob’s story in one novel…  Brilliant!  I couldn’t put this story down.  Essence of Time takes a few strolls down memory lane and what we learn during those strolls will surprise the hell out of you!

I thought that Closing Costs was my favourite novel in the series but I think it’s now tied with Essence of Time.  I was definitely more emotionally invested in Essence of Time than any other novel in the series.  Fabulous story, brilliant characters and extreme hotness… What more could you want in a novel!  N.  5

~NEW REVIEW~Closing Costs (Stewart Realty #3) by Liz Crow

Closing Costs has to be one of my favourite novels in the Stewart Realty series.  The on again / off again Jack and Sara saga is pushed to the absolute limit!  I found that I became much closer to the characters of Jack and Sara, understanding so much more of what their relationship is and why there is always constant drama.  Liz Crowe has done a brilliant job with these characters!  Like the rest of this Stewart Realty series, all of the characters from the first two novels are back and we get a little more insight into who they are.

A fabulous read, that will have you on the edge of your seat.  HOT  N.  5

~NEW REVIEW~ Sweat Equity (Stewart Realty #2) by Liz Crowe

I can officially say that I am completely hooked by Liz Crowe’s Stewart Realty series, in fact I am borderline obsessed with this series and this is only the second novel! LOL!  I couldn’t wait to start Sweat Equity!

I find it really difficult to write this review without giving any of the story away.  So much happens in this next installment in the ongoing saga of Jack and Sara, are they together or are they apart.  I felt so much angst while reading this novel, it was as though I knew these characters personally.  I was definitely on an emotional rollercoaster ride!  I have come to love all the characters in the Stewart Realty series, and I loved how I got to learn a little more about them in this novel.

Sweat Equity will keep you on your toes, both for the fantastic storyline and its equally fantastic HOTNESS!   N.  5

~REVIEWS~ and A Journey of Our Own

We gals at Flirty and Dirty would just like to say something about why we read, why we should read and what a book does for the mind, body and soul.

I’m sure like most of you, we read because we love to – unless it’s a textbook and we are studying for exams. Then it’s a must do… We love to see how others take perspective on something, be it friendship, love, tragedy, betrayal, sex or life in general.
We believe everyone should read. If not to remove yourself from the daily grind, even if just for a few moments, then to open your heart, mind and soul to the ‘other’ that is out there. Other may be something spiritual, something exhilarating, passionate, and different or something that you just can’t get from real life. Read to learn, to enjoy, to speculate, to ponder, to dream and to feel that AHA moment. Read because you can.
A book can take you on an amazing journey. Each time you reread a book will take you on an entirely different journey from the last. Every new book read takes you on yet another amazing path. Even when a book is not that appealing to you or you just couldn’t feel it, that story has evoked an emotion in you. It has made you think of something. If ten people read the same book, there will undoubtedly be ten different responses to that book.

We ask that when you post a review or comment on the blog or FB, that you respect everyone’s journey. So that means no spoilers and no bashing. We all have the right to read and the right to escape through stories.

Happy reading and get flirty and dirty! Cuz books are HOT!

~NEW REVIEW~ Naked by Raine Miller

I love sharing great reads with others but I really love it when others recommend FABULOUS reads to me!  That is exactly what Raine Miller’s novella Naked is, FABULOUS!!

Do not let the fact that Naked is a novella stop you from downloading it!!   I am amazed at how much story was in this little treasure!  Naked is the first in the series and I can’t wait to read the sequel.  Naked is brilliantly written; the characters of Brynne an American photographic model and Ethan, a wealthy English businessman are strong and well developed.  I really felt connected to both characters.  Raine Miller has written such an emotionally charged story, full of passion and angst!  If you are looking for your next read after Fifty Shade or Sylvia Day’s Crossfire series, Naked is a MUST download for you. Ethan Blackstone will give Christian and Gideon a run for their money  🙂   N. 5

So this was a novella right? Raine Miller used what little amount of words make a novella and packed it full. You honestly did not think you only read 115 pages by the end of Naked.
I love that her characters are strong and independent yet have a vulnerable side to them so that they do not come across as b****es and a-holes. You instantly fall for Ethan Blackstone and can’t help but wonder what his story truly is.
The physical attraction is so hot and the way in which Miller alternates the two characters inner monologue makes it that much more sensual and alluring.
The title of this book is so aptly named as her characters are stripped ‘Naked’ to their bare feelings and what they do to one another.
And we most definitely cannot disregard the cover of this book. HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could it not entice you to read this book. The cover alone sends quivers through your core.
This was a definite 5 star!!!   D. 5

~HOT NEW RELEASE & REVEIW~ Reflected in You by Sylvia Day

I was so excited last night when Reflected in You by Sylvia Day finally downloaded onto my Kindle app.  I have been anticipating this release for sometime now.  It’s common knowledge that I wasn’t the biggest fan of Bared to You.  I felt the storyline was weak and the character development was lacking,  I was disappointed because the story had such potential if only more time had been spent on the development.  I knew that I would read Reflected in You with the hopes that Sylvia Day would give us more story and let us get to know who the characters really are.  Well I can tell you Sylvia Day has done just that, BIG TIME!!!  Within the first few pages of  Reflected in You, I could feel the shift in story and the characters.  So much happens with the storyline in this novel it kept me on my toes and wanting more, I was borderline obsessed.  I couldn’t put Reflected in You down!  As for character development, Sylvia Day has come through!  I loved getting to know more about Eva and Gideon, having some of my unanswered questions answered.  Their characters are definitely stronger than the first novel.  I loved that I could feel how consumed by love they are for each other, this was something I could not feel in Bared to You.  The only problem I had with this novel is I did feel it a little crude, for lack of better words.  I am all for a HOT dirty read but I did feel that sometimes it was a little too much.

For any of you who, like me, felt that there was something missing in Bared to You, I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed by Reflected in You!   N.  5
