Floor Time By Liz Crowe

Having recently been lucky enough to read Liz Crowe’s new soon-to-be released novel Paradise Hops (which I loved!), I decided to check out some of her other novels.  I started Floor Time, the first novel in the Stewart Realty series, and I have to tell you that I have absolutely LOVED every page of this novel!  I couldn’t put it down!!  I downloaded the next two novels in the series right after I finished Floor Time, as I knew I had to have more of this series :-)

The story centers around Sara and Jack, two realtors who work for Stewart Realty.  Jack is Stewart Realty’s top seller and also the most eligible bachelor in town.  He is a strong character, knows what he wants out of life and goes after it, no one makes Jack do anything he doesn’t want to do.  Sara is a new agent at Stewart Realty.  She is career driven and wants to keep on that path; she won’t let anything or anyone get in her way.  Sara is well aware of Jack’s reputation and wants nothing to do with him.

Floor Time is a fabulously easy read with an amazing cast of characters.  I love how Floor Time had a real life feel it.  The chemistry felt between the characters is nothing short of electrifying.  I was struck by a range of emotions while reading this novel, I love a read that can toy with my emotions but not leave me feeling emotionally devastated!  Floor Time is also an incredibly HOT read.  When you have electrifying chemistry can it be anything else??  Did I say, that this novel is a HOT novel?!?!

If you are looking for a novel that isn’t heavy, that grabs you right from the start and makes you beg for more… Floor Time is your next read :-)    N.  5

Naked by Raine Miller

I love sharing great reads with others but I really love it when others recommend FABULOUS reads to me!  That is exactly what Raine Miller’s novella Naked is, FABULOUS!!

Do not let the fact that Naked is a novella stop you from downloading it!!   I am amazed at how much story was in this little treasure!  Naked is the first in the series and I can’t wait to read the sequel.  Naked is brilliantly written; the characters of Brynne an American photographic model and Ethan, a wealthy English businessman are strong and well developed.  I really felt connected to both characters.  Raine Miller has written such an emotionally charged story, full of passion and angst!  If you are looking for your next read after Fifty Shade or Sylvia Day’s Crossfire series, Naked is a MUST download for you. Ethan Blackstone will give Christian and Gideon a run for their money 🙂   N. 5

So this was a novella right? Raine Miller used what little amount of words make a novella and packed it full. You honestly did not think you only read 115 pages by the end of Naked.
I love that her characters are strong and independent yet have a vulnerable side to them so that they do not come across as b****es and a-holes. You instantly fall for Ethan Blackstone and can’t help but wonder what his story truly is.
The physical attraction is so hot and the way in which Miller alternates the two characters inner monologue makes it that much more sensual and alluring.
The title of this book is so aptly named as her characters are stripped ‘Naked’ to their bare feelings and what they do to one another.
And we most definitely cannot disregard the cover of this book. HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could it not entice you to read this book. The cover alone sends quivers through your core.
This was a definite 5 star!!!   D. 5

Reflected in You by Sylvia Day

I was so excited last night when Reflected in You by Sylvia Day finally downloaded onto my Kindle app.  I have been anticipating this release for sometime now.  It’s common knowledge that I wasn’t the biggest fan of Bared to You.  I felt the storyline was weak and the character development was lacking,  I was disappointed because the story had such potential if only more time had been spent on the development.  I knew that I would read Reflected in You with the hopes that Sylvia Day would give us more story and let us get to know who the characters really are.  Well I can tell you Sylvia Day has done just that, BIG TIME!!!  Within the first few pages of  Reflected in You, I could feel the shift in story and the characters.  So much happens with the storyline in this novel it kept me on my toes and wanting more, I was borderline obsessed.  I couldn’t put Reflected in You down!  As for character development, Sylvia Day has come through!  I loved getting to know more about Eva and Gideon, having some of my unanswered questions answered.  Their characters are definitely stronger than the first novel.  I loved that I could feel how consumed by love they are for each other, this was something I could not feel in Bared to You.  The only problem I had with this novel is I did feel it a little crude, for lack of better words.  I am all for a HOT dirty read but I did feel that sometimes it was a little too much.

For any of you who, like me, felt that there was something missing in Bared to You, I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed by Reflected in You!   N.  5

Jacked by Raven Morris

If you are looking for a HOT HOT read, this is the novella for you!!

Jacked is the story of a happily married couple, Jack and Debra.  Jack has a past and Debra is curious.  What Debra doesn’t know is that Jack has a little surprise for Debra’s birthday.  This is one HOT read you MUST read!!!  N.  5

The First Year A Farewell to My Cherry, The Sturgis Diaries by Brandie Buckwine

I absolutely love Brandi Buckwine novellas and A Farewell to My Cherry is no exception.  The story is about a young woman named Cam, on a mission to Sturgis for the annual motorcycle rally.  Can you guess what her mission is 😉  This novella is entertaining and HOT!! Again, Brandie when are you going to write something longer, these stories are so good they could go on so much longer (and I’m not just talking about the HOTNESS)!  N  4

The Boathouse by Brandi Buckwine

Another fabulous novella by Brandie Buckwine.  This HOT little treasure is about a family reunion of sorts, a HOT reunion!  I absolutely love how easy to read and HOT these novellas are.  My only problem with them…..they’re too short, I want more!  The characters that Brandie creates are fun and her stories are so easy to read.  The best part is they are HOT, but sexy HOT!    N. 4

Fighting Faith by Brandie Buckwine

For all of you who love hot rock god books, time to download.  Fighting Faith reminded me of a cross between Olivia Cunning’s Rock Hard and S.C. Stephen’s Thoughtless.  Eric’s band is just about to make it big and Faith is there to document their rise to fame.  Faith and Eric can’t stand one another and go out of their way to make the other’s life completely miserable.  The sexual tension and chemistry between these characters is brilliant!  This was a fun, easy and HOT read, did I say HOT ;-P   I found the story to be funny, a little gut wrenching and extremely HOT!  If you loved the Sinners Series you will want to add this to your to-read list. Honor Student (Honor series Book #1)by Teresa Mummert

(Read September 1, 2012) When I first started reading Honor Student I was surprised how I was somewhat reminded of the Fifty Shades series, but hey I am a Fifty Shades kind of girl so I was eager to keep reading.  William Honor is the handsome substitute teacher, and I instantly felt that there was something dark about him.  I felt that I only started to get to know who William was towards the end of the book, but I was absolutely intrigued by him.  Emma is young, naïve and looking for something or someone to give her some direction in her life.  She’s had to deal with a lot of tragedy and I really felt her instability.  I could really feel the chemistry between these two characters and it kept me on the edge of my seat.  I found this story was very easy to get into and kept me wanting more.  Honor Student is a HOT read.  This is a MUST read for anyone who loved the Fifty Shades series.  Definitely not Fifty Shades but just as good!  N.  5

Honor Thy Teacher (Honor series Book #2) by Teresa Mummert

(Read September 1, 2012) This is the first book, Honor Student, written from William Honor’s point of view!  LOVED IT!  Honor Thy Teacher is a completely different story to Honor Student in that  Teresa Mummert elaborates on several story lines from the first book that the reader would never have known about because we are now hearing from William’s point of view.  Just like the first book I was hooked from the get go.  Again HOT read  😉 N. 5

Honor and Obey (Honor series Book #3) by Teresa Mummert

(Read September 2, 2012) In the 3rd installment of the Honor series, Honor and Obey, we follow Emma again as she maneuvers through her relationship with William.  This book is definitely more mysterious than the first two in the series and I now feel that I know William and Emma well enough to understand the ups and downs of their relationship.  This book has a couple of twists (one in particular, you will know as soon as you read it!!) that I was not expecting!  I loved that this story is so unpredictable yet easy to follow.  I can’t wait for the next book in the series!  I am so completely hooked!  N. 5

Bared to You by Sylvia Day

(Read July 19, 2012) I was very disappointed in this book.  I felt like it was a bad knock off of Fifty Shades.  I found the character development weak, and instead of being hot I found it crude.  I will read the next book as I hope Sylvia Day put more time into the character development and we can learn a little more about Gideon and why he is the way he is.  N.   2

Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning

(Read July 23, 2012) If you are looking for a HOT book, this is the book for you!  The book follows the fictional band The Sinners on tour.  The story line is fun, and yes there is a story line in this book!!!!   The characters are amazing, and you want to learn more about them (which is why Olivia Cunning is writing a whole series of  books about The Sinners).  Backstage Pass is about Brian Sinclair, The Sinners bass player, I dare you not to love Brian (he’s my favourite).  Again this is a HOT read, but well worth it!!!!

Tempt Me (One Night With Sole Regret #2) by Olivia Cunning

(Read September 9, 2012) Olivia Cunning does it again… She brings you to the brink and then pulls out. But damn it’s good. The second novella in her Sole Regret series is just as fantastic as the first. Knowing there is going to be a next story, Olivia does a great job of teasing you. Especially because of the novella format. True to Cunnings style this book is hot! The sex is raunchy, intense, fun and goes all night long. But along side it all there is a true story line that envelopes many emotions and feelings. She really knows how to parallel the down and dirty with the sweet and sincere.
Adam is the hot lead guitarist for Sole Regret. He’s been dealt a crap hand and never known real love…until Madison. She has brought him from rock bottom and despite all his baggage still wants to be with him.
Madison knows there can never be anything more Adam than their occasional relationship. How could there be?…he’s one of the most famous rock stars in the world. But her heart only wants him. If only there could be more.
So when Adam rolls into Austin and meets up with Madison. Truths will be revealed. Some questions are answered and new questions will arise. But I guess we’ll just have to wait for Take Me!!!! *sigh* D. 5
