Keatyn has everything she ever dreamed of. Her life is following the script she wrote for the perfect high school experience. She’s popular, goes to the best parties, dates the hottest guy, and sits at the most coveted lunch table.
She’s just not sure she wants it anymore.
Because really, things aren’t all that perfect.
Her best friend is threatening to tell everyone her perfect relationship is a scam.
Her perfect boyfriend gets drunk at every party they go to.
It’s exhausting always trying to look and act perfect.
And deep down, she isn’t sure if she has any true friends.
To add to the drama, her movie star mom has a creepy stalker.
A hot, mysterious man keeps flirting with her and telling her they should make a movie together.
And she’s crushing on an adorable surfer. Dating him would mean committing social suicide.
So she writes a new script. One where all the pieces of her life will come together in perfect harmony.
But little does she know, there’s someone who will do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen.

We here at Flirty and Dirty had the amazing chance to catch up with Keatyn. Let’s find out a little about Keatyn’s World.

We at Flirty and Dirty want to raid your closet!!! We love your style. Tell us, who is your favorite clothing designer and or shoe designer?

That’s a really hard question. I’m sort of all over the place. I love Jimmy Choo shoes, Proenza Schouler handbags, have a lot of Free People, Alice + Olivia, Alexander Wang, Urban Outfitters. I’m kind of excited about where my new school is located. I get to dress for fall! I got a gorgeous Burberry leather-trimmed trench coat, the most adorable bright yellow Hunter wellies. I really don’t stick to certain brands. I order a lot online. Shopbop.com is my favorite. And I love Barneys. Barneys shoe department=heaven.

We know you are just settling into your new life and all but we are gonna ask you a tough question… Are you worried that Vincent will be able to find you? … You just seem so calm about all this. Sorry we know this is a sensitive question.

I’m really not that calm about it. I’m a wreck inside. And I’m very worried he will find me. But after what happened with my little sister, I had to do what I did. I had to listen to Garrett, who is an expert at all this. I don’t think it’s going to be easy at all. I’ve been told that Vincent hasn’t given up. He’s been (okay, so I shouldn’t tell you this because it’s actually in the next book, so, shhhh…) at my school. He’s following Cush around. He even danced with Vanessa at a club. All those things make my skin crawl. I hated leaving my friends, especially Cush, without saying goodbye, but I want them to be safe. I want me to be safe too.

Was there absolutely no way to let Cush know you were okay and that you love him? You just got him back… how are you feeling about all that? Are you really in love with him? You are crushin’ on the god of all HOTTIES. I mean we get why… but Cush- sorry we have a soft spot for him.

I feel bad about Cush too. Am I in love with him? Really truly in love with him? Probably not. I thought I was. In that perfect moment at my party, I felt like I finally figured everything out. That he was the one. And I just said it. I probably shouldn’t have. And I know I kinda have a thing for shoes, but HE GAVE ME BOOTS! The. perfect. boots. He said the perfect things. But I was not at all over B when I said it. I just sort of blurted it out.

But then I came here. Kicked a soccer ball at the hotties’ head. And BAM! It was like lightning or something. I think I believe in love at first sight. Do you? Mom and Tommy fell in love right away. I definitely fell in love with B when I first met him, but that ended up being….hell, I don’t even know what we are. We broke up, but then I slept with him before I left. I know, don’t judge. I sort of thought it was breakup sex. But lately he acts like it was makeup sex. He really confuses me. All his talk about fate. I personally would like to kick fate’s ass right about now.

So um… Damian. He’s  hot! How come you and him never hooked up. He’s cute, he’s good to you and gets you and he’s a rockstar!!! What’s not to want?

Awww, I love Damian. He is a good friend. He’s the kind of friend I can go months without talking to, but the minute we’re back together it’s like no time has passed. And he has gotten super cute lately. He’s not quite a rock star yet, but I think he will be someday. I hope he will be. It’s really his dream. Not the rockstar part so much, but to make music that lots of people want to listen to. His voice, it’s oh so dreamy. But we grew up together. He feels more like my brother. I can’t imagine kissing him. I think it would just feel wrong. But he’s adorable and I hope he finds the perfect girl for him.

So enlighten us cuz we just aren’t getting it… Why the heck do you put up with Vanessa. She’s more harm than good. You are gorgeous, popular (and not cuz of your mom) and your smart. What exactly is her hold on you?

Honestly, I think the hold that most mean girls have on people is their lack of confidence. I lacked confidence around her for a long time. I was afraid she would tell everyone about something I thought was embarrassing. (Not having sex with Sander.) Everyone thought we were the perfect couple. I liked being the perfect couple. And then when I tried to break free of her. To make my own group of friends, I kinda turned into a bitch. I didn’t want that either. And you know what happened with Mandy. Truth is, it is easier to let Vanessa deal with that stuff. And I’m really not gorgeous. I do get good grades, but I really I don’t know why I was popular. Is it because of my mom? Because of my relationship with Sander? Because I hung out with Vanessa? I don’t really know. I don’t really think I’m all that special. Like my mom, she just shines whenever you are around her. I don’t think I have that shine.

Ok, we have to know cuz I’m (Denise) a Cush girl and Nicola is a B girl… (whispering the question) who’s better in bed? We promise we won’t tell anyone.

That’s like comparing a Jimmy Choo to a Christian Louboutin. They are both good shoes. They are also different. Cush was more of a wham, bam, thank you ma’am kind of guy. Steamy, hot, and usually fast. He was maybe more concerned about making himself feel good. Brooklyn was sweet and adorable. He’s the kind of guy that cares more about making you feel good. You know he’s into karma and all that shit. His philosophy of give good karma and you will get good karma in return definitely fits his sexual style. I’d say B was also definitely more romantic. He quoted me poetry for gosh sakes! He would write our names in a heart in the sand. You know how it is. The guy your with always seems great until he does something to break your heart.

So we know things didn’t exactly work out with B couple wise. Do you regret your summer with him? Would you change anything regarding B?

I’ll never regret anything with B. He was my first real love. We had the most amazing summer together. I think part of me will always love and care about him. Even though Cush was super hot and sexy, I still wish B would have been my first. I think we choose boys like we choose outfits based on the weather. With everything that was going on at school, B was the relaxed, calm, chill kind of guy that I craved. He helped balance me. It will be interesting to see how going on the surfing tour will affect him. I have a feeling he might like the spotlight once he’s in it.

You have such a flare for fashion and you love music and dancing, have you considered a career in the fashion or music industries?

I told Damian if he ever does a video, I want to be in it! I do love fashion, but I really think I want to act.

And a random question cuz we just love our music— what’s currently on your iTunes playlist?

Of course lots of Twisted Dreams, but right now, Breathe by He is We, is my favorite song. After everything that happened, it’s sorta become my theme song. I listen to it a lot. It kinda makes me cry sometimes. Other times it sort of gives me confidence. After the incident, I felt like there was no air for me to breathe. Like I was being strangled. I also am apparently good at faking it because no one can tell all that’s going on inside me. The lyrics really resonate with me. But at school, I feel safer and like I can finally breathe again.

I have a playlist for songs that go with the first book here: Stalk me playlist.

The last song on the playlist is Only One by Sammy Adams. I adore that song. It reminds me of a certain boy 🙂

Check out our review of an amazing new book by author Jillian Dodd!!!!! Stalk Me will rock you!

Stalk Me (The Keatyn Chronicles) by Jillian Dodd

I wasn’t sure what to expect judging by the book cover.  Looking at the picture of a young girl, I thought this novel might be too young for my reading taste.  DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!  Stalk Me is a fabulous read!!! The story is about a teenage girl’s coming of age while being a member of a very privileged family.  Keatyn is the main character and I absolutely love her. She is your typical teenage girl in a not so typical world.  I felt that I could relate to Keatyn, dealing with peer pressure and first love.  I also felt that a lot of time was put into the development of the characters in this story as I was instantly drawn to her family and friends.  There is also an added twist, it wouldn’t be called Stalk Me if it didn’t involve (drum roll please)… you guessed it, a stalker.  The stalker story line is very well written and I really did feel my skin crawl during a few scenes.  If you are looking for a fun, mysterious, romantic, easy read that keeps you wanting more, you need to download Stalk Me.  I can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out!! N. FLIRTY

Read Sept. 1, 2012 Holy shizz…Stalk Me was totally unexpected! I knew this was YA novel (definitely a mature YA) but did not expect to be so drawn to the story. I could not put it down. Oh to be fly on the wall of Jillian Dodd’s mind. There are no lulls in this book–at all. This book goes from zero to hot sexy and bold right from the first pages!Keaton is the 16-year-old  daughter of a famous actress. Her step dad is equally in the spotlight too. Keatyn enjoys the perks of being in a celebrity family. She just doesn’t want to be known for being in one. Keatyn just wants to be her own person who can get out from the very large shadow her parents cast. Or does she? Keatyn’s friends are all about climbing up the popularity ladder and will do almost anything to stay at the top. Keaton isn’t quite sure how she feels about this. On one hand she wants to remain popular. On the other, she does not want to be popular on bitch merits. Keatyn is gorgeous. She loves her designer wardrobe and fancy cars. She also loves her little sisters and her family.Keaton has finally broken up with her long-term boyfriend, and can now pursue the boy she has been in love with forever. But which boy is it? There’s B, who is gorgeous and spends his days surfing the best waves. She can be herself around him and just hang out, surfing and relaxing. He doesn’t expect her to behave a certain way or does he? Then there’s Cush, they’ve been friends forever. He sees her as Keatyn not her famous mother’s daughter. He’s a player and could never have any real feelings for Keatyn. Or could he?Through a series of events that could wreak havoc on a 16 year old’s social life and reputation, Keatyn finally thinks she has found where her heart belongs. She is finally going to be happy and start her junior year on her terms with the boy she knows is for her.But being a celebrity’s daughter doesn’t t come without its own drama and chaos.Keatyn has always written her life’s script.  She is learning that there always edits and rewrites; and sometimes you just have to throw that script out and start over.Jillian Dodd wrote this story giving the reader lots to laugh about, lots to shake your head at, and even to cry about. Keatyn’s script is a comedy, thriller, trashy B movie, drama and romance all in one. Her characters were right out of a high school’s gossip circles. You fell in love with most and hated a few. The boys were deliciously sexy, the girls were gorgeous and bitchy. It equalled any given day of a teenage life– right? You will love the ride Dodd takes you on and will not want to stop. Every page has you engaged and wanting more. The Keatyn Chronicles are going to get even more interesting. Can’t wait for the next installment! What will Keatyn write for her next starring role?
